

Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1926, to Joseph and Georgiella Wood Dunn, she was the youngest of eight children. She attended the old Apponaug Grammar School in Apponaug before graduating from Lockwood High School, Class of 1943. She was the last surviving child of the family.
She was the wife of the late Ernest Donnelly. She and Ernest moved to Arizona in 1976 where he was employed by General Electric to work in Nogales, Mexico. She was the sister of John R. Williams, Hazel Johnson (Eskil), Arthur Williams (Anne), Cora Chace(Earl), Vera Pilon(Arthur), Eliza Warner (Edward), and Joseph Dunn (Beatrice). Surviving her are two daughters, Patricia DeCiantis (James) of Phoenix, AZ, and Nancy Gauvin (Joseph) of Mapleville, Rhode Island, and a son Ernest Donnelly (Susan) of Plant City, Florida. She leaves four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was employed as a nurses aid at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston, Rhode Island and worked for many years at General Electric Wiring Devices Plant in Providence and Cranston, Rhode Island.
Graveside services will be held in Spring of 2022 in Apponaug, Rhode Island at Brayton Historical Cemetery, Post Road.
