

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, 53 yrs. married, his grandson, William Joseph(Joey) Korber, 5 brothers and their families, John and Chris Korber, Bob, Dave and Steven Stallard, his sister-in-law, Jeanne Fenix and her 4 children and their families and Lamie, William’s fiancé’. He graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Business Administration. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a Sgt in the Air Force during the Vietnam war volunteering to fly rescue helicopter missions for which he received a medal. He was an Eagle Scout.
He worked for Armstrong Cork Co. and Amerock Corp, as the National Sales Mgr. Bill started Korber Sales Co. a manufacturing representative agency, in 1984 based in Phoenix covering the Mountain States with as many as 13 employes over the years. His son, William joined the agency and together they strove for excellence and professionalism. When William joined Bill in the agency, it was one of his happiest times filled with pride. He always treated his customers with honesty and respect and was well liked by those with whom he worked, both manufacturers and distributors.
He was an avid jogger running every morning, even while traveling, and completing the Rockford marathon. His passion was golf, playing in the Phoenix Open for 9 consecutive years winning 5 times with a First Place finish in 1996. He was a member of the Wigwam Golf club and golfed weekly with the men’s club and played in the tournaments. He loved cruising and traveling with his family. He enjoyed coaching William in his many sports. He was a kind and generous man willing to help even strangers.
He was a wonderful husband and dad providing love, happiness, and support. He was always a source of pride and happiness for us. We could always count on him to be there for us working to give us a perfect life. He will be missed every single day, but knowing that he has joined William makes his passing a little more bearable. He will always be with us.
