On Thursday, March 12th, 2020, William Ryan Russell, loving father of four wonderful children, passed away peacefully in Glendale, Arizona at the age of 37 while surrounded by family. William was born on March 10th, 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona to William “Bill” Howard Russell and Becky Lynn Russell (Arner).
William grew up in the Cartwright School District and graduated from Tolleson Union High School in 2001. William had an entrepreneurial spirit at a young age, as he started mowing lawns and providing landscape maintenance for many of his neighbors, fostering great relationships with many wonderful people that last to this day.
Within two years of graduating high school, he was hired as an inside sales representative for Diversified Inspections in Phoenix, where he would work for the next 16 years. While at Diversified, William traveled extensively and eventually became the Director of Sales, all while still making those lifelong friendships with customers and colleagues alike.
As the old saying goes, “A rolling stone gathers no moss,” neither did William. While working full-time, he attended Western International University and eventually graduated with a degree in Business Management in 2007, all while maintaining an impressive GPA.
William was incredibly passionate about his four children; Liam, Hayley, Hannah, and Harper. He loved them all dearly. William was a talented salesman and manager, and one of his favorite pastimes was negotiating car purchases for family and friends. While he was a talented salesman and manager, he also had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh.
William was preceded in death by his father, Bill Russell; and grandmother, Betty Arner. He is survived by the mother of his children Colette Russell; children Liam, Hayley, Hannah, and Harper; mother Lynn Russell; sister Courtney Lovett (Michael); twin brother Justin Russell; and youngest brother Bryan Russell.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary at 200 W. Beardsley Road Phoenix, AZ 85027 at 3PM. While flowers are welcome, the family wishes donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix AZ 85014, as their staff and caretakers were nothing short of a blessing in his final days.
