I’ll never forget when I first met Zachary. His energy could light up a room. Even when he would share his experience strength and hope with others you could feel his energy and his passion moving throughout the room. His joyous character will be greatly missed. 

My heart is so very heavy for all of your family. My kids have such good memories of growing up next door to Zac & Kelcie. Zac was Ty's best friend until about the age of 7 when they moved away. Zac was always full of mischief & always doing so with a smile on his face! We have so many pictures of the 4 of our kids trick or treating together, celebrating birthdays or just playing around in the backyard. They made a lot of memories together!
I cannot imagine the pain you feel with the loss of Zac. I will be praying for your family as you move forward with the sadness you feel. May you be comforted with the memories you have of him, as well as family & friends to help you through. God Bless!
 

Zac, I still cannot find the words...  I'll remember our Sunday visits together, the wiseguy comments from the back seat of the car, how you laughed when you got me to eat sour candy, camping trips, and our visit to DisneyWorld & NASA.  You are missed.

Zachary...   I don't even know where to begin.  You were so loved by everybody who ever met you.  That was evident by the lives you touched and the many people who came to the hospital and sent out their prayers and condolences through the many ways we communicate on social media.   You were such a sweet and caring boy and man.   We didn't see you as much as you were older and living your life, but, you always answered when I messaged you to see how you were doing or just to say 'hi'.   I just don't know how to put into words how much you will be missed.  My heart is broken.  I wish I could have spoken to you once more before you were taken from us.  I'll miss your smile & jokes and fun-loving way.     You'll always be little Zacky in my heart.

My sweet brother, I can’t find the words to express how I feel. I can’t find the words to explain how beautiful your soul is. Not a day will pass that I won’t think of you. You were such a bright light in this dark world. You always had the ability to make every single person in the room laugh or smile no matter the occasion. It always made your eyes light up seeing others happy. A part of me will always be missing without you. I know you’re watching over all of us, especially our little Bella. I’m thankful for every laugh, every tear, every second with you. You are always and forever my Zacky. Your baby sister loves you. 

I didnt know Zach but do know Dan and Dan, both great friends with big hearts.  Thoughts and prayers to you and your families.  Love Jeri and Sydney.

I only knew Zak as a young boy however, his father Dan is part of our immediate family for 20 + years. My heart goes out to Dan Downs, Dan Braner,Kelcie Downs & the Downs family.  RIP Zak and watch over them always.

Much of the time I spent with Zac neither one of us were up to any good. We were both neck deep battling our demons. But Zac was a very loyal friend. It’s thanks to Zac I am still around for my family and friends. Zac called life saving emergency services to resuscitate me after overdosing. A lot of people we hung around with would have probably left me for dead and taken what they could from me. Zac did the right thing even though he risked getting in trouble. Because of that experience, I often think of Zac when I remember how fragile life is. Zac gave me a chance to continue the fight and I am forever grateful for that. 

I’m saddened by the news of Zac’s passing and I give my deepest condolences to his family and friends. 

Zac my friend, thank you again and see you on the other side. 

Zachary Jon Downs .. it’s impossible to choose a favorite memory because we have so, SO, many.  You were always by my side. My partner in crime ~ the modern day Bonnie & Clyde. ;) You were my world, and I was yours. We would do anything for each other. We had so many plans for our future.. marriage, children, traveling... and so much more. Although we didn’t get to mark everything off our bucket list, I’m grateful for the time I had with you. You made these last 3 years the best of my life. You showed me how to give and receive love unconditionally. You showed me what’s truly important, and you stuck by my side through all the craziness.. and never once left me.  I love you forever baby. To the moon and back. I know that I will see you again one day.. & I can’t wait to give you the biggest kiss when I do.. watch over me baby boy. Love always and forever, “baby girl” / “bug” / Kaitlyn..♥️♥️
