

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late J. Walter and Addie Hudson Grant. Miss Grant retired from Ryobi Manufacturing after over 42 years years of service and for eight years served as manager of The Pickens Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling with the Mt. Bethel Seniors Group. A lifelong musician, Lou sang with her sisters as the Grant Trio. She was a member of Bethany Church of God where she was an assistant Sunday school teacher and served on the youth board.
Lou is survived by her twin sister, Katie Sue Grant of the home. Also surviving are two other sisters, Dorothy Dodgens and Elizabeth Eades and one brother, Joseph W. Grant all of Pickens as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Among her many friends, she is survived by special friends, Clyde and Becky Lyles, and Verne and Anne Winburn.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters, Bernice Couch, Bertha Townes, Veda Mae Townes and Inez Grant, and three brothers, Reverend James B. Grant, Cecil H. Grant, and Reverend Donald W. Grant.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with The Reverend Roger Stephens and The Reverend Burch Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
