Alfred Boone

Former Easley, SC resident, Alfred “Al” Vance Boone passed away peacefully on February 13th at his home in Greensboro, NC after a heroic fight with cancer. Al was very active in his church and attended with his family. He loved to play golf with his golf buddies, as well as attend his grandson’s sporting events.

Surviving of the home are his wife of 43 years, Patti Rackley Boone and grandson Aidan Boone. He is also survived by his daughter and son in love, Heather and Brian Nelms of Easley and daughter Tara Boone. Al is survived by his brothers Mike Boone, Scott Boone; sisters Lydia Willett ; Melissa Kimbrough ,as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition, he is also survived by his father and mother-in-law James and Pat Rackley. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Barbara Boone of Easley.

Services will be held Monday February 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 am until 11:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Cancer Center for Children.
