Barbara J Collins

Barbara Jean Hall Collins, 67, widow of Arthur C. Collins, passed from this life on Friday, January 15, 2016. Barbara was born in Pickens County a daughter of Eugene Hall and the late Mary Roberta Cater Hall.

She was formerly employed with Sangamo Electric in Pickens. Barbara was an active member of Mountain View Baptist Church where she took care of the children in the nursery and considered them all to be her own. She was also a talented arts and crafter and was also instrumental in H.O.P.E. Ministries grief support group in its early days and for several years.

Survivors include her father, Eugene Hall of Pickens, sister, Linda Hall Hovis of Greenwood, and brothers, Terry Hall (Yong) and Bruce Hall (Kathy) all of Pickens and Ronnie Hall (Sara) of Six Mile. Also surviving are “her Boys” Reverend Brian Scruggs (Holly) and Scott Hyder (Wendy) all of Pickens, four nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 PM Sunday at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel.
