Pickens – Bennie Lewis Adcox, 61, husband of Debbie Swayngham Adcox passed from this life on Wednesday October 17, 2018.
Bennie was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Charles and Violet Lewis Adcox. His greatest passion in life was his family especially his grandbabies. Bennie was an avid racing fan and a huge nostalgic car buff including his own red 1965 Mercury Comet that he rebuilt from the ground up. He was a member of Southeast Gassers Association and he enjoyed many weekends at races and car shows with his wife Debbie. Bennie was an aircraft welder with Ethos Energy but his skills went far beyond as he could build and fabricate anything with his artistic welding skills. He could always build something beautiful out of spare parts. Bennie was a graduate of Easley High School, Class of 1976 and he was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Debbie Adcox of the home, his son, Zachary C. Adcox of Pickens, grandchildren include Gage Adcox, Garrett Adcox and Griffin Adcox and their mother, Kayla H. Adcox and his brother, Chuck Adcox (Lynn) of Six Mile.
