OBITUARY
Candy Teresa Byrd
March 18, 1967 – March 7, 2023

IN THE CARE OF
Dillard Memorial Funeral Home & Hillcrest Memorial Park
Pickens, SC - Mrs. Candy Teresa Byrd, 55, was greeted at the pearly gates on Sunday, March 7th, 2023.
Teresa was born in Greer, SC on March 18, 1967. She was the devoted daughter of Rex Byrd and the late Mary Byrd, and her presence melted the frost-bitten hearts with the use of her compassionate personality, nurturing attitude, and affectionate demeanor. Teresa's ability to connect with anyone spiritually allowed the means to avoid discomfort down to their bones, no matter how dim the heart. Her forgiveness was a weapon that silenced evil and relieved the darkness in others. Teresa replicated that of an angel so pure that she was released so that heaven may now taste our luxury of decadence: our sweet angelic Candy. The Earth howls out from the dismemberment of her existence, as she is sheltered in God's embrace. The closest we had to a saint, in which she was named after, will suffer no more. "To live is Christ, and to die is Gain."-Philippians 1:21
In addition to her father, Teresa is survived by her siblings who adored her: Tammy Byrd, Lisa Byrd and Emmit Byrd; Her loving nieces and nephews in which she was always supportive of: Crystal Ortega, Natasha Elkamand, Hunter Lopez, Amanda, Nathan and Gordan Byrd; her beloved great-nieces and nephews: Adilyn, Bryson, and Rowen Elkaman; and her devoted brother-in-law in which she was a devoted friend to: Jimmy.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Evergreen Cemtery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.
