Scott, heard yesterday that your dad had passed. Wanted you to know that it was always a pleasure when your dad came by the shop or called me to provide a service for him and your mother. Praying for you and the family during these difficult times.

Dear Mrs. Batson, Scott, Melody and family,

Words escape me! I have such fond memories of the Batson family. Carl and Shirley were so special to me, especially after the death of my father. I remember times spent at the lake, Mr. Batson teaching me to ski and I also remember learning that Sunday afternoons were made for naps and not phone calls! As an adult, I really came to understand what that meant more!

Even thru adulthood, I would pass him in the hallways of church with a twinkle in his eye, waiting for his hug from me. Truth is, I loved those hugs too!! I hate that I could not be there for you all during these past few days! It is so hard for huggers to keep their hugs to themselves during this time!

May you all feel the loving hug and embrace that our Lord provides; especially when we can not physically be there to hug and embrace each other!

Much love and thankfulness for Carl Batson and his loving, fun, Godly heritage he has left for his family and friends! To God be the Glory for a life well lived!
Love, Georgia, Jimmy, Mac & Faith Dickard

Mrs. Batson, Scott, and Melody, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Batson. He was always so nice, and one of my fondest memories was of him teaching me to water ski on dry land. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Shirley and family,
Extending heartfelt sympathy to all the family. I pray for peace and comfort that only God can give. There is a time to mourn, however. My parents, James and Mary Alice, will be happy to meet Carl again. No doubt they will be laughing together and enjoying the presence of their Savior. I have fond memories of your family from my time in Pickens so many years ago. Blessings to each of you.
With sympathy,
