Carroll Lee Landers, 73, of Dacusville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. One of seven children, Carroll was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 29, 1950, to Lee L. Landers and Alberta Pettit Landers.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maxine Landers, and his great-granddaughter, Ansley Jenkins, of the home; his four children, Judy Holocombe, April Kelley, Dawn Tollison, wife of Eddie, Chance Landers; and stepchildren, Anita Bowen, wife of Steven, and Jeffery Jenkins, spouse of Whitni Arnold. He is a grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12.
He was retired from Alice Manufacturing Co., where he worked as a fixer at Ellison Plant.
Best known as “Papa,” he will be remembered for his chili, biscuits, and love of Clemson football and stock car racing.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, South Carolina, on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
