Reverend Charles D. Lusk Pickens, SC Reverend Charles D. Lusk, 75, of Pickens, took his Heavenly flight home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 13, 2014 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC. Born in Salem, SC, he was the son of the late Wiley and Bessie Todd Lusk. Reverend Lusk was the former Pastor of Fall Creek Baptist Church in Salem, SC for sixteen years and retired from Singer/Ryobi. He was a graduate of Keowee High School, Tri County Technical College and was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by loving daughter, Chana Gibson (Billy) and loving son Greg; three brothers, Reverend Ferber Lusk and Reverend Leon Lusk both of Salem, and Virgil Lusk of Pickens; two granddaughters, Heather Howell (Joseph) and Mary Gibson of Mississippi; and six great grandchildren; a special companion, June Brown of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he cherished. A special thanks to our family friend Rose Taylor for always being there for help and support. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Emma Jane Lusk and a brother, Herbert Lusk. A service to celebrate Reverend Lusk’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
