Alan, Mrs. Stillwell and family,
We send our prayers and sincere condolences on the loss of your precious Dad, husband and grandfather. Mr. Stillwell was a true kind Southern gentleman and he will truly be missed. We will always remember him visiting us and receiving his hand written thank you note after coming to his first fish fry we had. David was in awe that he took the time to send a card/note. Alan, thank you for introducing and sharing your Dad with us. We will always treasure the conversations and memories.

My family has always called Charles "Bud".  Most of us have been scattered from the NC mountains, but we have crossed paths occasionally since, like when Bud, Othella, Karen and Alan lived in Augusta and I was training at Ft Gordon in 1966 and then finishing my Army time there with the 140th MP in 1968.  it was so nice to have a place away from Army life.  Great memories.  We've had numerous visits and phone calls all the years since.  I will miss the absence of that now but am thankful for the memories.  God's blessings on Othella, Alan, and their loved ones.
