Mrs. Reid was born in Central, SC, a daughter of the late James and Janette Victoria Mulberry Lawrence. She holds the distinction of being the first recovery room secretary at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry R. Lesniak (Phillip) of the home, grandchildren, Stephanie L. Mesa and Joshua P. Lesniak and great granddaughters, Holly and Heather.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her brother, James Wesley Lawrence.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Gardens in Pickens, South Carolina.
