Danny Ray Ward, Jr., 48, went home to be with the Lord his Savior, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kershaw County, he was the son of Dare Baker Ward of Six Mile and the late Danny Ray Ward, Sr. He was self-employed, heating and air, contractor, and co-owner of Dan Ward House Movers. He was a hard worker and loved God.
Danny is survived by his wife, Norma Ward, of the home, his mother, Dare Ward; his children Terri Ward Bostic (Thomas) of Greenwood, Sebastian Ward of the home, Natalie Garcia of the home, Priscilla Garcia (Alex) of Greenville, and Joseph Isaac (Natalia). Sisters, Derhea (Jody) of Liberty, Jennifer (Donny) of Central; two nieces, Courtney Lesley of Anderson, Shawna Carroll of Central; one nephew, Clay Lesley of Liberty. Three grandchildren, Willi, Giorgi, and Giovanni of Greenville. One uncle, Bill Ward (Belinda) of Camden, SC, and four aunts, Peggy, Brenda, and Pris Ward, Sandra Burris (Steve), and numerous loving cousins.
He loved going to our cabins in Tennessee, grilling out with family and friends. He loved eating seafood and Mexican food, especially the spicy sauce his loving wife Norma made. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and riding his motorcycle. Danny liked sky diving and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was a United States Army veteran, who was honored to serve his country. He loved being called "Grandpa Dan" and "Unkie" and was looking forward to seeing his newest grandson Charli in July. Danny was a loving and cherished husband, son, daddy, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, son-in-law, father-in-law, granddaddy, and a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 14, 2021, from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Amazing Grace Fellowship. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Roland Bearden and Reverend Bobby Johnson officiating. Danny will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Holiness Church Cemetery.
