     Preston was my big brother.  In fact I never called him Preston growing up he was always Brother or Bubba till I could say Brother.   He was getting ready to turn 12 on Dec. 27th when I was born Christmas Eve in 1955.  Mother said he went back to school after Christmas and told the other kids he got a baby sister for Christmas.   We have so many memories from growing up way too may to put in such a small space.  We traveled  and lived many different places and roamed all over the country as a family and separately when we grew up.  But one thing stayed constant our love for each other and our memories of the past and we always came back here to home.   We talked about those memories in Brothers last days and I took him pictures as his memories began to leave him at the end.   We both agreed we missed those days greatly.   Now with Daddy , Momma and now Brother gone that leaves me to carry on those memories and I look forward to the day when I go home to see them  and we're sitting around Momma's table again talking about old times.   I love you Bubba!!  Sure gonna miss my Big Brother!!!

Years ago Ed and Preston help me with some "earth rearrangement". To this day, I  still remember and appreciate their helpfulness. Now that I am in my 70's too,   it is particularly  bothersome for me to see that Preston has passed.  The Alexander family is part of the fabric of Pickens and Oconee  Counties that  many families have called home over the years.  I am glad to have know many of them.  My sympathy is extended to the entire Alexander family in  the passing of Preston.

One of those guys you me you never forget.  I came back to SC to live and reconnected with Preston.  He referred to me as “his Jewell” and that made me feel special .  Prayers to the family and friends.  Junne. Cuz and friend

Judy, I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I had the pleasure of meeting Preston at the BI-LO center once during a concert yall were attending.  We are thinking about you and your family.

Preston and I were very close. In our younger days we had some incredible times deer hunting. We always had fun whether we got a deer or not. Even and including getting his truck stuck way back in the woods. We also used to go cruising on Friday night and look for guys who wanted to drag race. Preston had a fast Chevelle and he could really drive it. Man did the Lord take care of us. The last words Preston spoke to me a few weeks ago was "I love you". That is  so special to me. To the family, just remember the good times. That is what I am going to do. He wouldn't want us to be sad.

Preston and Ed worked tirelessly as contractors in the grading business and always wanted the job done to perfection. Jimmy Lee and I are saddened to learn of Preston's death. My grandmother was Olive Alexander Winchester and Ed was my Dad's 1st cousin.  Sending our thoughts and prayers in this time of bereavement.
