David Walker Spearman, 77, husband of Sue Gillespie Spearman, passed from this life Thursday, August 14, 2014 at his home. David was born in Pickens County, a son of the late William and Margie Brezeale Spearman. He was retired from Millikin Co. and later retired from Synergy Gas Co. David attended Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sue Spearman, sisters, Doris Gilstrap (Clyde) and Darlene Farmer (Bill) both of Pickens. Also surviving are special friends that felt like children to David, Philip Black, Cindy Kreitz, Audrey Reiger, Caleb Stanley, and Andy Kreitz. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Spearman. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 PM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel.
