Edith L. Riddle

Ms. Edith L. Riddle, 65, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Born March 13, 1951 in Pickens, SC a daughter of the late, Jack and Willis Riddle of Pickens, SC, she was pre-deceased by her son; Johnny Lee Riddle; and brothers; John and JR Riddle. Nanny is survived by her children; Kimberly Roach (John) of Pickens, SC; Tonya Chalker (Jimmy) of Pickens, SC; and Paula Fisher of Brevard, NC; her grandchildren; Tommy Davis (Samantha) of Pickens, SC; Brandi Presnell (Newman) of Travelers Rest, SC; Boyce Slade (Monica) of Beech Island, SC; Josh Slade (Stephanie) of Liberty, SC; Samantha Slade of Pickens, SC; Morgan Chalker of Pickens, SC; and Tyson Roach of Pickens, SC. Six great-grandchildren; Kenzie, Kayden, Chloe, Allie, Bentley and JJ; her sister; Elizabeth Trotter of Pickens, SC; and her brothers; Rick Riddle (Jan) of Pickens, SC; and Fred Riddle of Pickens, SC. Edith was retired from Singer where she spent most of her work career. While she may have been retired, she was a full time Nanny to those around her. She was known for loving all of her babies and taking in anyone she could and loving them as her own. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 12-2p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home located at 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy., Pickens, SC 29671. Service will be following in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to funeral expenses or a children’s charity of one’s choice. The family will gather at the home of Kimberly following services.
