OBITUARY
Mrs. Ella M Wise
June 17, 1939 – February 21, 2021
Pickens, SC - Mrs. Ella Mae Vaughn Wise, 81, loving wife of the late Harold Wise, of Pickens, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown.
Mrs. Wise was born in Pickens County on June 17, 1939 to the late John Will and Rosa Lee Aiken Vaughn. She enjoyed many different activities in life, and was always there to spend time with her family, extended family, and friends. Prior to her declining health, she was very active in the YMCA Silver Sneakers program and gathering with her friends for lunches at her Church. Mrs. Wise loved to go camping at the Smokey Mountain RV Park with her friends and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pickens.
Mrs. Wise is survived by two daughters: Shirley Norris of Pickens and Donna Owens (Roger) of Easley; her two brothers: Melvin Vaughn of Six Mile and Terry Vaughn of Pickens; her four grandchildren: Sabrina Robinson (James), Danielle Franks (Corey Porter), Brayden Owens, and Kaleb Owens; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her special friend: R.A. "Gib" Gibson of Pickens.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by a daughter: Barbara Franks; and three brothers and sisters: Leonard Vaughn, Mary Sargent, and Horace Vaughn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, masks will be required to attend the service and social distancing will be observed. Those wishing to not attend the service may watch a livestream broadcast of the service via the Dillard Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Tuesday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 309 E. Cedar Rock Street, Pickens, SC 29671.

I had the privilege to work with Ella Mae for over twenty years and always remember her having a smile on her face and she dearly loved to pull “pranks” on her friends.

Ella Mae was such a sweet lady.We worked together at Ryobi, she was my boss lady in dept.630 and we were friends for a long time, our daughter were friends in school. The last time we talked was outside
walmart, we stood at our cars and talked for over an hour . We laughed and talked about how people have changed. RIP MY FRIEND

So sorry to hear about Ella Mae. She was a good friend of mine. We would go shopping and out to eat. We would laugh and have a good time. She always have a beautiful smile and her hair was beautiful. She will be missed by me and her family and friends. May the Lord Comfort all of you all during this sad time. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Ella Mae tell my parent Bill and Ellen Hutto HELLO for me. Ella Mae is walking the Streets of Gold now with a new body.
