Pickens - Essie Mae Patterson Jones, 90, widow of Wayne Arthur Jones passed from this life on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Manna Health and Rehab in Pickens. Mrs. Jones was born in Pickens a daughter of the late Henry and Sally Hannah Patterson. She was a homemaker and was known for her cooking and canning expertise which she shared with her family and friends. Mrs. Jones was a member of Secona Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Ron Jones (Vickie) of Pickens and Henry Jones (Beth Waldrep) of Georgetown, SC, granddaughter The Reverend Courtney Mills Jones Willis (Stephen) of Greensboro, NC and great grandson Berkley Stephen Willis. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her daughter, Pat Jones, one sister and six brothers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Dillard Funeral Home from 2 to 3:45 PM with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 PM with her granddaughter, The Reverend Courtney Mills Jones Willis officiating.
