Francis (Frank) Edward Herman, 93, of Pickens passed away Thursday August 1, 2019 at Richard Campbell Veteran Nursing Home in Anderson, South Carolina. Born in Buffalo, New York he is the son of the late Joseph and Loretta Herman and husband of the late Suzanne Staley Herman.
Francis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include a daughter; Christine Herman of Colorado Springs, son in law; Mike Dillard (Kenna) of Pickens, five grandchildren; Caleb I. Christensen (Leona) of Apple Valley, California, Seth O. Christensen (Valarie) also of Apple Valley, California Jason Dillard (Jerussa) of Greenville, South Carolina Wesley Dillard of Jackson, Mississippi and Ginny Dillard of Greenville. Francis also leaves 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild to share in his memory.
In addition to his parents and wife, Francis is predeceased by a daughter Lisa Lynn Herman and a son Jeffery R. Chase.
A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum II & III Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11 am.
