Gerry was born in Greenville, SC on May 22, 1959 to Luveta Thomas Boehmke of Greenville and the late Edward J. Boehmke. He had a sense of humor that was like no other and was famous for his "One Liners". He was a devoted member of Tremont Church of God where he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in the choir.
In addition to his mother, Gerry is survived by his four siblings: Ed Boehmke of Greenville, Larry Boehmke of Greenville, Jennifer Boehmke (Jimmy) of Simpsonville, and Tricia Seltzer (Jeff) of Lake Wylie; his seven nieces and nephews: Erin Accardi, Christopher Boehmke, Austin Boehmke, Naomi DuBose, Bethany Seltzer, Anna Seltzer, and Graham Adcox; and his father-in-law: Frank Adcox of Greenville. Gerry will also be greatly missed by his extended family, his friends, and his church family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Tremont Church of God with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Allen and Rev. Steve Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:15 PM on Tuesday, prior to the service, at the Church.
For those not able to attend the services, you may drop by Dillard Funeral Home on Monday, August 2, 2021 between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to sign the guest book and pay respects to Gerry.
