Harriett Phillips King

Born on June 6, 1943, she was born in Marion, North Carolina to the late Harry Lee Phillips and Cleo Pannell Phillips.

Harriett was a devoted member of Arial Baptist Church. She graduated from Anderson University College and later attended Wyatt Institute where she received her Real Estate License. She enjoyed collecting coins but above all spending time with her family.

Harriett is survived by her son, Russell King (Tammy); daughter, Meredith Anderson (Ricky); Johnathan King (Kristian); grandchildren: Brittany Ballenger (Josh), Brandon King (Maeryn), Taylor Cole (Deborah), Hanna Parton (Morgan), McKinley King, Erin Dunn (Payton), Riley Dunn (Courtney); nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Susan Sease (Wayne).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doug King in 2010. She later remarried Gene Granger who passed away in 2018.

A visitation for Harriett will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens, SC. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with a committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
