Steve was born in Greenville, SC on August 26, 1955 to Margie Alice Weems Medlin of Norris and the late Roy Medlin. He retired from Champion Aerospace and in his free time he enjoyed listening to the music of the 70's and 80's. Family was most important to Steve, and he enjoyed traveling with them throughout the years. He was an avid golfer, a Clemson Football fan, and an Atlanta Braves Baseball fan. Steve was a member of East Pickens Baptist Church.

In addition to his loving wife of 6 years and his mother, Steve is survived by his three step-children: Zachary Walsh of Anderson, Madison Ryza of Greenville, and Bobby Ryza of Fort Collins, Colorado; and a brother: Gary Huffman of Westminster.

In addition to his step-father, Steve was preceded in death by a brother: Mike Medlin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. A private interment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:15 AM on Wednesday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.

The family is at the residence.
