Irene O'Shields Hooper

Irene was born in Greenville South Carolina, on December 20, 1941 to the late Leonard and Zelma O'Shields. She loved to be outside working in the yard, going on senior citizens trips, taking trips with the WPO at Dillard Funeral Home or out going shopping. Irene loved to collect many things, especially things of Elvis.

Irene is survived by her daughter: Cyndi Hooper; five grandchildren: Javen Glazener, Jon Paul Styles, Jayme Styles, Chelsea Oslar (Tim), and Jordan Hooper (Alex); nine great grandchildren; and one brother: Daniel O'Shields (Judy).

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband: James Ronald Hooper; a son: Jeff Hooper; and three siblings: Jackson O'Shields, Louise Hawkins, and Becky Henderson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday July 18, 2025, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Garden Room.

Burial will follow the funeral service on Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
