Mr. James "Don" Donald Pace

James Donald “Don” Pace James Donald Pace, 67, husband of Marie McCall Pace, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, at his home. Born in Pickens County, SC, he was the son of the late James Claude Pace and JoAnne Gillespie Biringer.

Mr. Pace was a 1971 graduate of Easley High School. He retired from Piedmont Natural Gas Company and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of thirty-six years, are his son, Maxwell James Pace (Kristi, Jenna, Chris); his sister, Wanda R. Pace, two brothers, Joel S. “Buford” Pace and Tony Pace (Susan); a nephew, Jamie D. Pace (Paula), great-nephew, C.J. Pace, along with a special cousin, Barbara Cornett of Florida. He is also survived by his very special “adopted” children, Andy and Heather Stansell and their daughters, Aubrey and Clara Stansell. Don was “Papa” to Aubrey and Clara, which brought him so much joy in the last years of his life.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
