Jane Grant Blackwell

Jane was born in Pickens to the late Will Mae and Fred Grant. During her working life, she was employed with the Greenville Hospital System and later at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. She was a lifelong member of Porters Chapel United Methodist Church in Pickens.

Jane is survived by her son Joseph "Joe" Fred Blackwell (Jami); son David Ward Blackwell (Melissa); daughter Kelly Blackwell Monckton (Munroe "Moe"); grandchildren: Mackinley Jane Katherine Blackwell, David Joseph "DJ" Blackwell, Georgia Ann Monckton, Charlotte Jane Monckton, Pressley Munroe Monckton; one sister and one brother. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband David Allen Blackwell; one brother and two sisters.

A visitation for Jane will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, South Carolina 29671. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of the funeral home with a committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
