Mrs. Jewel A Whitmire

Left to cherish her memory are one daughter: Tammy Sims; one son: Bill Whitmire (Tammy); one sister: Judy Haynes; one son-in-law: Steve Sims; three grandchildren: Shay Carithers (Jon), Levi Whitmire (Amanda), and Amanda Cannon (James); five great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Aiden, Adalynn, Logan, and Gracie; two special nephews: Waymond Chappell and Chris Atkins; and one special cousin: Carolyn Norton.

In addition to her parents, Jewel is preceded in death by her loving husband: Marion Paul Whitmire; one sister: Martha Chappell; and one special great-grandchild: Caleb Ryan Carithers, who she had longed to see.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, with Pastor Justin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.

To know Jewel was to love her, so until we meet again we say, as she would say, "I'm fine."
