Born on August 10, 1933, in Pickens he was the son of the late George and Alberta Robertson.
Jimmie honorably served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career with Celanese, where he retired as a Dye Analyst. A man of Baptist faith, he cherished the values of faith, family, and hard work. Jimmie shared many hobbies and interests with his father and had a special bond with both of his parents, lovingly caring for them throughout their later years. Gifted with exceptional mechanical skills, he had a passion for automotive restoration and proudly rebuilt a Model A automobile, a testament to his craftsmanship, patience, and dedication.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Dillard Funeral Home chapel, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens SC. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM. Jimmie will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC.
