Jimmy Ross Sipes

Jimmy was born on November 13, 1943, in Greenville South Carolina, to the late Rev. James Ross Sipes and Ruby Beatrice Williams Sipes Owens. He was a lifelong gifted musician, who loved to play the piano and guitar. Jimmy enjoyed recording and splitting tracks that he and his bands played. When he was not playing music, you could find him out driving trucks, going to the mountains, and finding some good Barbeque to eat.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah Huff Sipes; their six children: Greg Sipes, Melody Howard (Jeff), Todd Sipes (Joetta), James Richard Forest (Donna), Matthew Forest, (Angela), Angeline Copeland (Devin); fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a sister Sandra Sipes.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Sipes Sprague.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday August 15,2026 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671.
