Kathy was a resident of Pickens, South Carolina, and formerly of Central, South Carolina.
Born on August 19, 1952, in Easley, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Leon Pilgrim and Cornelia Evatt Pilgrim.
Kathy was a longtime charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, where her love for gospel music flourished. She cherished her family above all else, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Memaw." She was known for her selfless spirit, kindness, and big heart, sometimes considered too big. When her health allowed, Kathy found great joy in tending her vegetable and flower gardens, where she enjoyed nurturing the beauty around her just as she nurtured those she loved.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Eddie (Suzanne) Rowland, Stevie (Melissa) Grant; grandchildren, Makenzie (John) Hester, Makayla (Calynn) Roper, Brandon (Bailey) Rowland, Abbie Grant, Shana (Donnie) Strickland, and Jason (Toni) Grant; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her brother Dale (Mary) Pilgrim.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Grant; her sisters, Carolyn Durham, and Linda Pilgrim; her brother, Ricky Pilgrim; and her cherished granddaughter, Hayleigh Rowland.
