She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; her daughter Elizabeth Bassler (Brent) of Tampa, Florida; and her son Sean (Maria) and two grandchildren, Mason and Madolyn of Fort Myers, Florida.
Born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia Leslie and her parents, George and Mary Virginia McKinley moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania immediately prior to her senior year of high school. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a bilingual secretary for 10 years before retiring to become a full-time homemaker and mother. After moving to the Vineyards in 2003 Leslie became involved in multiple organizations within the community. She was one of the founding members of Vineyards Lady’s Bible Study and truly enjoyed Tie One On. For many years, she served as the coordinator of the never to be forgotten Lazy Gourmets dining group.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina.
