Mrs. Peace was born in Pickens, South Carolina, on January 30, 1944, to the late Tom and Ethel Rampey McKinney. She worked in Human Resources for Pickens County before retiring. Mrs. Peace enjoyed being active at Pickens First Baptist Church serving in numerous roles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family at the family lake house, most importantly were her grandsons. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Peace was survived by two daughter: Susan Peace Vernon (Mickey) and Caroline McKinney Peace; two grandsons: Hayes Vernon (Vaughan) and Luke Vernon; her mother-in-law Azalee Peace; one brother Tommy McKinney (Barbara); along with several brother and sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to those who have been taking care of Mrs. Peace over the past few years, Caroline Peace, Morgan Cobb, VIA Hospice with Ruth and Stephanie.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday July 14, 2024 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 PM in the Garden Room at Dillards.
A private family burial, will take place after the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
