Mrs. Hagood was born in Macon, GA on January 11, 1924. She was a bookkeeper for SCN Bank throughout her working years and also did the payroll for several local businesses. Mrs. Hagood was a wonderful, loving person who never met a stranger. She loved fashion, which was proven in her daily attire and how she carried herself. Her family was most important in her life, but throughout her life, she loved to travel, especially to the mountains, and enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and was an avid Elvis fan. Perhaps her biggest accomplishment in life, besides her family, was the revitalization of the Pickens Senior Center (Hagood Community Center), which she was instrumental in bringing life back to. Mrs. Hagood was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pickens.
Mrs. Hagood is survived by a daughter: Nancy Hagood Rhyner of Easley; and two grandchildren: Kristen Marie Williams (Ty Fitzgerald Williams) of Cayce, SC and Christopher John Rhyner of Summerville, SC. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hagood was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathryn Marie Hagood; a son-in-law: Dean Roger Rhyner; and six siblings.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bobby Monroe, Sarah Gulyassy, and Annie Mead, along with the staff of Love2Care LLC for all their care and special concern for Mrs. Hagood during her sickness.
