Loretta Ressie Long McJunkins, walked through the Gates of Heaven and with her Savior, Jesus Christ on June 1, 2019. She was 84 years young…

Mom was born in Nortonville, KY, to the late Jewell Lavon Long and Bonnie Rachel Pendley Long. She was always known as being full of life and everyone that knew her was captivated by her beautiful smile, laughter, knowledge, loving caretaker of all of her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed Singing, Dancing, Painting, Gardening, Cooking, and Crocheting. She enjoyed teaching her children and Grandchildren how to cook and sharing her knowledge of raising children and gardening. She was the woman that knew the answer to every question.. She was the woman you called to pray for any situation. She was the ROCK of our family.. She will be missed that no words can describe, but her family knows that she is much happier and free of pain and we all know she’s singing and dancing in Heaven.. To know her was to Love her…

She is survived by her Husband of 65 years and 11 months, Charles T. McJunkins, three daughters; Laura E. Frilick, Cynthia M. Moore (Jerry) and Lisa R. Murphy (Paul), thirteen grandchildren; Charles S. McJunkins II, (Gina); Paul McJunkins (Paula) Heather McJunkins Montenegro (Juan Carlos) Matthew McJunkins; Misty Jones, Laurisa Galbreath (Warren) Brent Moore (Jennifer), Jack Frilick, Hillary Frilick, Brittany Frilick, Sean Murphy, Laurisa Murphy Ivery (Bryan) and Ashley Murphy, twenty one great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister ; Piccola Hunt. She is predeceased by a daughter ; Vivian Taylor and two sons; Charles Steven McJunkins and Jewell Thomas McJunkins.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 11 AM, at Hillcrest Memorial, (Veterans section)located at 2410 Gentry Memorial Highway in Pickens, SC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association.
