Mary was born on August 7, 1946 in Pickens, South Carolina, to the late Clifton and Ellen Ellenburg Dorsey. She retired after 40 plus year of work from Ryobi Manufacturing. Mary loved her church and serving at her church. She served in the Children's ministry as the 3 year old teacher for numerous years. Mary enjoyed loving all the children that came to church. She will be missed by all of those who knew her.
Mary is survived by her son Jason Edwards (Brooke); a granddaughter : Ella Grace; and three siblings: Doyle Dorsey (Dretha), Jimmy Dorsey (Louise), and Ruby Dorsey; and her sister in law: Margaret Collins.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Larry Ellis Edwards and a brother Floyd Collins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in the Garden Room at Dillard Funeral Home.
The burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be sent to be sent to the Blue Ridge Baptist Church Youth department.
