Mary Lou Eversman

She was born on December 22, 1936, to the late Essie Mae and Joseph Edward Storay.

Mary Lou was a devoted member of the Church of God and actively involved in its LA ministry. A passionate reader, she found joy in literature and cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Marie Hunter of Easley, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Tyler Hunter and Katelyn Hunter Samples (Marcus Anthony); and her great-grandchild, Nora-Grace Marie Samples. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Raines of Mauldin, SC, and Nellie Phillips of Greenville, SC; and one brother, David Storay of Greenville, SC.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter J. Eversman, as well as four brothers and three sisters.

Her legacy of love and faith will live on in all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671.

A funeral service will occur Monday, June 9, 2025 at 12:00 PM, following the visitation.

A committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
