Maxine Singletary Quick

Mrs. Quick was born on November 10, 1938, in Scotland County North Carolina, to the late Will and Beatrice Love Singletary. She loved to be at her church, Open Praise Fellowship, worshiping the Lord before her health declined. Mrs. Quick loved to grow flowers, listen to gospel music, and playing the piano. She had a passion to serve others with her cooking. She always wanted the best for her children and for them to serve God in whatever they did.

Mrs. Quick is survived by her loving husband of almost 68 years, Carl Quick; three children: Charles Edward Quick, Stephen Sampson Quick, and Melinda Bea Porter; she had eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; three brothers: Larry Singletary, Jay Singletary, and Jerry Lockey; and one sister: Anita Strickland.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quick was preceded in death by two children: Sheree Quick and Randy Quick; and three siblings: Buddy Singletary, Betty Butler, and Quita Pham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday May 18, 2025 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 in the Garden Room.

Burial will take place following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
