Mike was a master electrician and owned Durham & Son Electrical, LLC. He loved fishing, working on cars, spaghetti westerns, and telling everyone he was an MD with a PHD - Mike Durham with a Parker High Diploma! To know Mike was to laugh and to have a forever friend; he was a big hearted man who will be missed by many!
Mike was born on November 1st, 1952 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Wayman and Mozelle "Mokie" (Kelley) Durham. He is survived by his loving wife Ann (Dearing) Durham, two children: Kristy Gibson (Randy) of Six Mile, and Daniel Dowell (Mandy) of Seneca; three grandchildren; Bo Dowell, Kaitlyn Gibson, and Kylie Gibson; a brother, Larry Durham (Pattie) of Easley and a special brother in law, Wilton Fowler of Mauldin.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister Joan Elaine Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Friday, August 14th, 2026 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends prior to the service between 1:45pm - 2:45pm in the Garden Room.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the "Home With A Heart" organization.
As his great niece, Londyn said, "Mike is the fisher that sailed the water and found his way home". The family takes great comfort in knowing Mike is rejoicing in heaven!
