Mildred "Mit" Davis Dowis, age 102, of Pickens, South Carolina passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. Mildred was born April 18, 1919 in Pickens, South Carolina and was the daughter to the late Horace E. Davis and Florence Louise Jones and wife to the late Willie "Red" Lee Dowis, Jr..
Ms. Dowis is survived by a number nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephew and great great nieces and great great nephews. She is predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
Ms. Dowis completed a two year business college degree and worked for thirty three years at the Farmers Home Administration. She last attended Carmel Presbyterian Church and loved her faith family. Ms. Dowis had a number of personal interests and hobbies.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Presbyterian Home Chapel at 205 Bud Nalley Dr., Easley, SC 29642 at 1:30 PM. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671.
