, 81, wife of Henry Kirkland passed from this life Wednesday February 8, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Samson and Winnie Thomas. Mrs. Kirkland retired from Holly Springs Elementary School as a data entry clerk and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; Henry Kirkland, two daughters; Amy Kirkland of Tucker, Georgia , Kim Pettit of Salem, one sister; Barbara Thomas of Pickens In addition to her parents ,Mrs. Kirkland is predeceased by three sisters; Ella Mae Thomas, Helen Gilstrap, Evelyn Jones and three brothers; Miriam Nix, Walter Thomas and Lloyd Thomas. Mrs. Kirkland also leave three grandchildren to share in her memory, Joseph Cassell, Nicholas Pettit and Emily Pettit. A visitation will be held Friday March 10, 2017 6 until 8 pm at Dillard Funeral Home. Service will be Saturday March 11,2017 at 11 am at Dillard Funeral Home. The family will be at the home.
