Patricia Jane Sorrells Greer

Easley, SC - Mrs. Patricia Jane Sorrells Greer, 78, loving wife of the late Leonard Bennett "Ben" Greer, of Easley, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Mrs. Greer was born in Pickens County on March 6, 1945 to the late Horace F. and Lila Farmer Sorrells. She retired from Bank of America and in her free time enjoyed working in her flower garden. Family was one of the most important things to her, and she enjoyed visiting and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Greer was a charter member of Elljean Baptist Church where she served as the Church secretary for over 19 years, as well as sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and was very active in the ladies groups.

Mrs. Greer is survived by her three children: Wade Greer (Susan) of Easley, Brian Greer of Liberty, and Brad Greer (Michelle) of Easley; her six grandchildren: Josh, Lexi, Alex, Elijah, Brooke, and Brian; two great-grandchildren: Kenadie and Benning; and a brother: Tommy Sorrells (Janie).

In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Mrs. Greer was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law: Janet Greer; and three siblings: Lewis Sorrells, Carolyn Ann Nalley, and Sue Welborn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Elljean Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Tuesday, prior to the service, at the Church.

The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Building Fund of Elljean Baptist Church: 605 Elljean Road, Easley, SC 29640.
