Liberty – Peggy Crumpton Madden Gray, 82, wife of Gary W. Gray, passed from this life on Friday January 27, 2017. Mrs. Gray was born in Pelzer, a daughter of the late Feaster and Lona Bates Crumpton. She was retired from ECP in Liberty and she was a member of Rice’s Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Gary W. Gray, son, James Madden (Sara) of Greenville, step-daughters, Sharon King (Tommy) of Liberty, June Coleman (Sam) of Easley, and Tammy Coleman (Richard) of Liberty, a sister Dorothy Peace (Arnold) of Easley, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her first husband Chester Madden, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Rice’s Creek Baptist Church.
