Ralph Thomas Snelson Jr.

Pickens, SC – Mr. Ralph Thomas Snelson, age 92, laid down his working tools for the last time on December 13, 2020, Enoree, SC Masonic Lodge. Mr. Snelson was born in Brevard, North Carolina and was the son of the late Ralph Thomas Snelson Sr. and Sarah Burriss Snelson and husband to the late Barbara Maureen Newman Snelson.

Survivors include a son Ralph T. Snelson III (Robin) of Easley, South Carolina and daughter Marissa Melsh of Pickens, South Carolina. Also surviving are seven precious and loving grandchildren and four most precious great grandchildren.

Mr. Snelson was predeceased by his five siblings. He was the last one surviving.

Mr. Snelson was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Snelson was an avid admirer of NASCAR and a dedicated Clemson fan. He had a very strong sense of humor. Himself a Mason, he was last a member of the Enoree, SC Masonic Lodge. He was a big supporter of his son’s ministries as a Baptist Minister. He loved his family and worked 12 to 16 hour days to support them during his career as a heavy equipment operator.

The Snelson family will be having a private family Graveside Service.
