Mr. Robert Clifton Ellenburg Sr.

Robert Clifton Ellenburg, Sr., 90, husband of Mary Margaret Galloway Ellenburg, went home to be with The Lord Friday, February 13, 2015. Mr. Ellenburg was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Verner T. and Della Richey Ellenburg. He was retired from Ryobi in Pickens and was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Mary Ellenburg of the home, and a son, Robert C. Ellenburg, Jr. (Rheba) of Six Mile. Also surviving is a grandson, Robert D. “Robbie” Ellenburg (Ashley) of Pickens and great grandchildren, Jada and Gracelynn Lomax and a sister, Frances E. Alexander of Six Mile. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellenburg was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Ellenburg, sisters, Dorothy Mull and Reba James and a brother, Frank Ellenburg. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Six Mile.
