Robert James Wood

Pickens – Robert James Wood, 75, husband of Patsy Gilstrap Wood went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 22, 2018.

Robert was born in Lynn, MA son of the late Marion Albert and Laureen Tillman Wood. He was retired from Duke Energy in the construction department after over twenty five years’ service. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Robert will be remembered for his warm smile and big personality and his love of his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Patsy Wood, daughters Debbie Wood Henderson (Mark) of Easley, Greta Wood Corn of Pickens and son Eric Wood of Pickens. Grandchildren include Robby Horn, Pattie Horn Fore, Jamie Kirby, Mark Henderson, Jr., Bryan Henderson, Lewis Corn, and Jimmy Corn. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Dillard Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 PM.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Landmark Baptist Church with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
