

He was born in Pickens on October 14, 1951, to Beatrice Davis and Lawrence Glendell Davis.
Following his graduation from Pickens High School in 1969, Mr. Davis served for 7 years in the United States Army Reserve.
Mr. Davis was the owner and CEO of Great American Tank Wash Inc., from which he retired in 2016.
A dedicated community member, Mr. Davis was a longtime member of the Pickens Lions Club, as well as the Easley and Powdersville Rotary Clubs. He attended East Pickens Baptist Church.
He enjoyed the company of friends and family and spending time at the beach. In his earlier years, he enjoyed his time of truck driving, going to concerts, and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Sheila G. Davis; his stepchildren: Caleb E. Greene of Pickens, Heather R. Greene (Kevin) of Kilmarnock, VA, and W. Elijah Greene of Richmond, VA; and mother, Beatrice Davis of Pickens.
He is also survived by his nieces: Lisa D. Wyatt (Vance) of Pickens, and Rhonda B. Allison of Pickens; his nephew: Jason Bagwell (Stephanie) of Boiling Springs; great-nieces: Sarah Allison, Monica McMinn and Caryn Wyatt; great-nephews: Jonah and Luke Bagwell; and great-great nephew and niece: Jayce McMinn and Audrey McMinn.
In addition to his father, Lawrence Glendell Davis, he was predeceased by his sister, Nancy D. Bagwell (Ronnie) of Pickens.
In accordance with Mr. Davis' wishes, the family requests that guests refrain from wearing neckties to the service.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.
A visitation for Roger will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church, 336 Mountain View Church Rd, Six Mile, SC 29682. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM, with a committal service to follow in the church cemetery.
