Steven "Nic" Nicholas Cantrell

Nic was born in Anderson on May 25, 1988 to Tracie Elaine Jacks Freeman (David) of Pickens and Steven Eugene Cantrell (Leah) of Anderson. He worked for J. Gilberts Restaurant in Overland Park as a server and in his free time enjoyed weightlifting, traveling and fast cars. Nic loved to laugh and enjoyed his Corgi dog "Kai".

In addition to his parents, Nic is survived by a son: Jaison Dakota Cundiff of Hudson, Florida; two brothers: Luke Broadwell (Michele Dupree) of Piedmont and Drew Freeman of Pickens; a special step-brother: Evan Campbell of Arkansas; and his grandmother: Eunice Freeman of Liberty.

Nic was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sam and Betty Jacks, Buddy and Polly Holden, and David Ivy Freeman I.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM, prior to the service at the Church.

Flowers are accepted.
