Steven Gary Cisson

Steven was born on April 16, 1956, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Nell Stancil Bryant and Marvin E. Cisson.

In his younger years, Steven was an avid golfer and remained a passionate fan of the sport throughout his life. He also had a deep appreciation for music and found joy in listening to a wide variety of genres. Although he was no longer able to attend church in person in his later years, Steve’s love for the Lord remained strong, and he often watched messages from Ralph Sexton Jr. and John Hagee.

He is survived by his loving mother, Nell Bryant, and stepfather, Ernie Bryant; his sister, Sheryl Gossett; niece, Lauren Vanderwood; great-niece, Lilly Shellnut; loving cousin Jimmy Dale Cisson, and several other cousins.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Marvin E. Cisson Sr., and his brother, Sonny Cisson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with a committal service immediately afterward at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy.

Steven will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the game, and his enduring appreciation for music and family.
