Thurmond Wayne Rackley

Born in Pickens on September 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Eugene Rackley and Faye Powell Rackley. Wayne was a resident of Manna Post Acute for over 32 years where he made many friends and worshipped alongside them. He enjoyed preaching, singing, visiting, and playing bingo with his family and friends. Wayne’s faith was strong in Jesus Christ, and he prayed for everyone around him.

Wayne is survived by his sister, Judy Rackley; brother, Steve Rackley (Sandra); brother, Stanley Rackley; Dennis Rackley (Nancy); special aunt, Vallie Mae Cobb. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Jr. Rackley.

A visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home on May 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Wayne will be laid to rest at Antioch Baptist Church.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Manna Post Acute staff and Crescent Hospice for their unwavering dedication and love to their family.

The family will be at their respective homes.
